Dr. John Nietfeld is a Professor of Education Psychology in the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences at North Carolina State University. Dr. Nietfeld’s teaching and research interests lie in self-regulated learning and metacognition. He is currently working to build digital game-based learning programs to assist elementary students in their comprehension monitoring and problem-solving skills. Throughout his career Dr. Nietfeld has taught and mentored a number of international students, frequently teaches abroad, and travels in his free time.
