COREPER I gathered in Tallinn University of Technology
On Thursday, July 13, Tallinn University of Technology (TTÜ) welcomed COREPER I at its premises. The delegation gathered at Innovation and Business Centre Mektory, where the deputy permanent representatives of EU countries had the pleasure of listening the speech of TTÜ Rector Jaak Aaviksoo and presentations of TTÜ Mectory Startup success stories. Later the visitors were able to visit different Mektory labs in smaller groups.
In its speech, Rector Jaak Aaviksoo provided a quick review of TTÜ digital success stories and emphasized how important it is for a very small country such as Estonia to ‘build bridges’ in order to facilitate import and export. “Many young people today are looking for opportunities to study abroad to gain more international experience, but there should be even more of them. Every third student should seek a college experience outside Estonia and bring back valuable knowledge,” said Aaviksoo.
COREPER II is scheduled to visit TTÜ on July 20, 2017.
